Even on my worse day, I am not who I once was.
If you’re like me, sometimes all I see is the daunting gap between where I am and where I want to be. Therefore, this is a great reminder that although there is still a lot of opportunity for growth ahead of me, I am not stuck where I once was.
I am no longer that perverted, selfish, prideful, pompous, always need to be right, vain, greedy, unforgiving, womanizing, lying, stealing, cursing, self-centered, pot smoking, drunken, unloving, arrogant, hell bound, empty shell of a man I once was.
Can you say the same about yourself? If so, be encouraged. Transformation has happened, transformation is happening and transformation will continue to happen.
Are you one of those who doesn’t believe a person can change?
Are you one of those who believes the lie that suggests: ‘Once a Thief, Always a Thief’? Well, it’s not true. Lasting transformation can happen and does happen. It has happened to me and it’s still happening to me.
Have you ever read in the scriptures about receiving a ‘New Heart’ or about being ‘Born Again’ and being a ‘New Creation’? These profound scriptures point to the radical experience that describes those of us who have been miraculously changed.
